About our Santas

Way back in the mid 1980's, Karen & her friend Janie Ramey were attending a craft show & admiring some handmade Santa's that were way out of their price range!  They decided on the spot that they were capable of making them for themselves, left the craft show & headed straight to Michael's to buy clay.  Talk about trial & error!  Neither of them had any training for sculpting a face out of clay so the first few were quite a site!  After many hours of work they finally managed to produce something they could live with.  Not only were they making the faces from scratch but also the body & clothing.  Once they honed their skills a bit (that's a little bit) they started selling them at craft shows & taking custom orders from customers .  The Santas you will see in the photo gallery have many different themes from cooking, making toys, decorating trees, being a cowboy, etc.  From the beginning their motto was always "WE CAN DO IT"!!!    Karen & Janie never became experts but they sure had fun!!
